Business Profile:
The origins of this company is like a story found only in the stuff of childhood dreams and the best examples of Frontier pulp fiction. The VTC originated from a small party of adventurers and evolved into private paramilitary company and security firm. Founded in PFY 63 by Louis Jameson, the company is based on the planet Volturnus in the Zebulon system, where it operates its corporate headquarters as well as a tactical training facility. It should be noted that both of these installations as well as its start-up funding came from the salvage acquired from the successful completion of their first mission, an Search and Rescue funded by the government of Truane's Star. This mission resulted in a pitched battle between the combined races of Volturnus and a Sathar invasion force. Victory over this enemy has resulted in a very close relationship between the VTC and the governments of both Truane's Star and Volturnus.
The company is primarily composed from these four corporate divisions: the Secret Service Branch, a Mercantile section, a Bio Science and Medical Division and a newly formed R&D Think Tank.
Principal Divisions:
Division Name: Volturnus Tactical Consultation Service
Division Head: Man'Tiss Sp'ock (Chief of Security)
Chief Products: Protection and Security Services, Search and Rescue Teams
Business Summary: Given the fearful atmosphere that permeates nearly all strata of Frontier Society, there is a multitude of firms that specialize in security and protection. However, few if any are better known than the Volturnus Trading Company, largely due to the reputations of their elite security team, infamously known as the Black Hand Gang.
Although small, this branch markets itself as being the most reliable paramilitary, security, and law enforcement operation in the Frontier".
Division Name: Volturnus Trade and Commence Group
Division Head: Gloo (BHG Quartermaster)
Chief Products: Acquisition and Sale of Recovered Munitions and Materials.
Business Summary: This division grew as a sideline to the company's protection and security branch. The huge successes of its founder's earlier missions, garnered a large surplus of weapons and equipment that the group sold off for profit. This practice proved to be so profitable that a secondary business venture soon emerged that was built around this practice.
Division Name: Zebulon Zoological Institute
Division Head: Sni'ktl (Chief Medical Officer)
Chief Products: Bio Science and Medical research
Business Summary: Chief Medical Officer Sni'ktl heads this division, dedicated to the biological sciences research and study of new and existing life forms.
Division Name: Vital Technologies Cultivation Group
Division Head: Raid Array
Chief Products: Vehicles and Equipment
Business Summary: This latest business venture of the VTC is still in the planning phase. The brain child of Dr. Raid Array, the corporation's Chief Science Officer, this division is dedicated to the study of new and alien technologies in order to assist the BHG when on assignment.
Corporate Security: At present, all aspects of corporate security are overseen by the members of the Black Hand Gang. Further details are restricted as part of the organization's elaborate security measures.
Historic Corporate Slogans:
"We won't find your missing pet, but we will find your missing planet!"
"Problems solved, no job too big. Rates negotiable."
Slitherbane: You patch'em, we catch'em.
"Black Hand Gang... For when it absolutely, positively, has to be destroyed overnight!"
No job too small. No fee too big."
Corporate Jingle:
You can have 'em ransack your enemies star
You have 'em destroy facilities both near or far
They'll pillage & plunder to your specifications
Want guaranteed results with no remorse nor hesitation
Matter of fact, I'd call BHG now
